Patagonia Ascent

A satellite peak of Fitz Roy is one of the best objectives to try for the first time in the area. There are different lines depending on the time of the year, weather conditions and the preferences of the climber.

The west face consists of golden granite rock worth touching. The Comesaña/Fonrouge route involves 400 meters between 5.10 to 5.11 and a final snow field of 30 degrees to the summit.

On the other hand, the east side presents more snow and ice conditions. The Amy Couloir is a classic one and the easiest way to climb this peak, 200 meters of 65 degrees. It joins the Fonrouge 150 meters below the summit.

  • Recommended season: October to March
  • Duration: 3 days
